www.newsontheblock.com is a way of reducing service charges while providing a forum for news information and discussion groups specially designed for flat users.  It aims to transform the way in which residential blocks are run and will give residents a greater influence over the management of their property.  News on the Block, backed by Solitaire Group PLC and Capital Tech, enables residents to communicate with each other via the Internet.  Residents are pre-registered and given a security password and username that gives them access to their "block" website.  The site also provides a secure forum for swapping goods and sourcing services.
